Your pets deserve the best care… That is why we have AIRC trained Veterinary Assistants (VAs) to assist in the care of your pets. VAs are your pets’ "nurses". Whether they are helping your vets to draw blood from your pet, place an IV catheter, or assisting in surgery, our VAs offer your pet exceptional care. Our VAs are up to date on major developments in veterinary medicine through continuing education opportunities such as seminars, and workshops as well as regular staff meetings. It is not possible for our vets to work without the continual support from the VAs. In addition they play a vital role in translation and communication between our vets and the pet owners, whatever language you speak they are there to help you understand the pet’s treatments.

Our VAs are owners of pets of various types and breeds in different life stages. They care for their pets just as much as you love yours. Caring for pets is easier and simpler when you know your own pets are in the hands of our VAs who understand your needs and worries.

Mosy Chan, Head Nurse

Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce; Cert II AIRC Veterinary Nursing 2007
Joined HHVC: 2004

Mosy moved from Canada back to Hong Kong in 2003 and became part of our clinic as a Veterinary Assistant. She has completed the introductory course and Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing. She is planning further study in Veterinary Nursing in the near future.

Having grown up with her dogs including a Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Chow Chow and a St. Bernard in Canada, she now lives with “BB”, a 7 years old quiet male miniature schnauzer and “Kam Kam Chu”, a 1.5 years old cutie pie female miniature schnauzer in Hong Kong.

She is a kind young lady with a cheerful outlook for life. “Helping is a reward in itself”, says Mosy. She rescued a kitten on the street who is now under the care of Dr. Andrew. Like her mother, who is a compassionate pet parent, she spoils Kam Kam Chu and BB with Haagen Dazs like all of us do once in a while! Her interests outside work include watching movies, listening to music, traveling and practicing yoga.
