How to brush my pet's teeth?

Why Does Your Pet Need Brushing 🪥?

Plaque can form within 24 hours. If not cleaned regularly, it can lead to tartar buildup, gum inflammation, and even impact heart and kidney health.

Dental care can be simple and enjoyable by following three key steps:

1️⃣ Start Slowly
Let your pet get used to the idea of brushing by gently touching their gums with your finger, allowing them to lick pet-friendly toothpaste off your finger, and keeping sessions short (1-2 minutes daily) for the first week.

‍ ‍

2️⃣ Gradual Progress
Switch to a pet-specific toothbrush, finger brush or gauze, using toothpaste in flavors they love (like chicken or fish). Start by brushing only the front teeth, then slowly work your way to the back molars.

‍ ‍

3️⃣ Use Plenty of Rewards
Praise your pet verbally for each tooth brushed, and reward them with treats afterward to help them associate brushing with positive experiences!

💡 Alternative Solutions

✔️ Dental chews
✔️ Dental wipes for wiping teeth surfaces
✔️ Veterinary prescription dental diet
